“O Come, O Come… (I guess)”

What does it really mean to pray the O Antiphons this Advent? Advent means praying the O Antiphons - here’s set I really treasure.  But it occurs to me that when we bid God to Come, in all of her manifestations (wisdom, child, lover, even unicorn), we had better prepare. As I pray, Come, O …

“So that the narrative for women, persons of color, indigenous communities... if we elect people who represent those people, things are gonna change.”
“You know, as we say in Ignatian circles...go where we’re needed, respond to a call, and be available for mission.”
“I had gone to Adoration Mass- it was dark and there was incense, and I remember hearing this voice like, ‘Yeah, you’re gay.’ And then there was just this like stillness and peace. And I was like ‘Alright- were doing this. We’re doing this together.’
“I a voice that I can contribute here. But I can’t do this unless I start telling people who I am and how I identify.”
